"Wolf/Killer Whale Transformation" Necklace by Denise Wallace
This is a one-of-a-kind necklace which Denise finished in October of 1986.
Inspired by imagery from the Okvik and Old Bering Sea cultures which inhabited coastal Alaska over a millennia ago, Denise captured the themes of transformation and shamanism in this piece, as well as the understanding of the relationship of Killer Whales and their land-born descendants, the Wolves. This necklace is in excellent condition.
The necklace is 18" long. The major element is 2.5" wide and 1.75" tall (3" long including the three dangles). The four minor elements are 0.75" X 0.5"
Materials are Sterling Silver and Fossil Walrus Tooth Ivory, featuring rare Handmade Beads.
