"Made in Vermont"
It's November now - late autumn in Vermont. The
leaves are down, it's time to cover the firewood, and we all start
looking through the closet for clothes we haven't worn in a while. It's
nesting time. So, along comes a timely note from my friend Dan Mosheim of
Dorset Custom Furniture. Seems like they're busy over at his shop,
building custom furniture, banjos, a pool table and more for 'the indoor
season'. He's put up some images of their newest creations on his website
http://www.dorsetcustomfurniture.com . Taking a look, the idea of
spending some quiet winter days inside doesn't seem like a bad idea - not
if I could hang out in one of those chairs, or maybe putter around the
walnut-paneled room. And - forgive my muddy boots - but I'd be
hard-pressed not to put my feet up on a table made from a slab of walnut.
Imagine that in front of a fireplace, a mug in one hand and a book in the
other...
