
The first part of a restoration is to figure out what you've got! I put everything back together the way it is supposed to be (lots of duct tape in that engine box!), took lots of photos, then began to remove layer after layer of woodwork and mechanical parts until the hull was stripped clean enough to flip over. I'm the type that plays with the parts as they come off - each one is cleaned up, stripped of finish and marked and/or bagged.
